It’s the same Takata airbag recall which is affecting up to 100,000,000 vehicles globally. When an airbag is deployed in a crash, the inflator mechanism can explode – sending metal fragments flying right into the faces and bodies of those in the car.

It acts like a kind of grenade, and there are already deaths that are directly linked to these awful airbags. Along with over 40,000 Tiida passenger airbags, the passenger airbags of D40 Navaras are now on the list to get recalled.

Do you own a Navara? Head to the product safety website and look at the complete list of VINs to see if you’re affected.

Then call your local dealership, and book the vehicle in as soon as possible for a fix. Know someone who owns a D40 Navara? Send them a link, and get them to check it out.
