EldeeWorkshop03While all you really need to bring is an open mind and a camera, bringing a DSLR and a tripod will allow you to capture much more and learn a lot more technique. A folding camp chair is also a great idea for the theory classes and the long exposure nighttime photography opportunities.

EldeeWorkshop04This workshop is a self drive 4×4 photography course on the Eldee Station tracks, but photography, not off-road driving, is the focus, so no more than 50 kms of easy to moderate station tracks will be traveled during the course. Expect long days of shooting, in order to take in the good light well before dawn and well into the night.

EldeeWorkshop05The course will cover things like; the rule of thirds, understanding aperture, capturing and expressing motion, basic camera and lens maintenance, tripod use, the art of long exposure, creating silhouettes, understanding your camera’s exposure guide, light painting, night photography and much more.

EldeeWorkshop06The workshop is limited to 12 photographers, and registration is on a first come first served basis. Spots are filling up quick, so sign up now! If you are already planning to attend the ARB Eldee Eatster Weekend Event, this photography workshop would be a great extension to an already amazing outback experience.
