We’re recent converts to fire pits, in a big way. They use less wood than a hole-in-the-ground fire, and they put out more heat thanks to additional air flow. They are kinder on the environment too, and can be used anywhere you are allowed to have a fire but can’t damage the ground – such as National Parks or even caravan parks.
