Talinah Lagoon Track in the Western Lakes area of the Central Plateau Conservation Area is closed due to recent heavy rains. The track surface has become very soft and boggy. This temporary closure helps protects the track from excessive damage from vehicle traffic. Rangers will monitor weather and track condition to determine when the track is dry enough to reopen. It’s hoped this will be for a relatively short period, however this depends on the weather. Another point of mention, for anyone travelling through Tasmania, is to be aware of roadside vegetation management with warmer weather now with us. As always, please keep an eye out for road and maintenance crews and travel safely.
