Two in one: Oricom DTX4200 dual receive UHF CB radio

By Emma Ryan 2 Min Read

The release of the DTX4200 from Oricom means you no longer need to carry two UHFs on board your 4×4 (one for the highway channel, one for your convoy), as this unit is effectively a ‘two in one’. An Australian first design, the DTX4200 is a dual receive UHF CB radio that streamlines your comms and makes life on the road that little bit simpler.

With the DTX4200 you can receive and listen in to two different channels simultaneously without compromising standard features we’ve come to expect out of a leading UHF. A quick glance at the hand piece reveals which radio is broadcasting, so the unit is simple to use despite its dual-receive functionality.

The DTX4200 unit itself is a tuck-away design, saving space in your car and avoiding that annoying situation where your knees bash unceremoniously on a bulky UHF under the dash. The unit is made from a tough die-cast metal chassis, is IP54 dust- and splash-resistant, will work on 12 or 24 volt systems, and can have three groups of up to 16 channels programmed into it. It also comes with a 2m microphone extension cable, slide in bracket mount and all mounting hardware. It’s got a 3.5mm external jack too for an external speaker or PA adaptor and is covered by a full five year warranty.

“We are receiving a very positive reception to this radio”, said Oricom’s Managing Director, Kevin McDonnell. “It’s the result of extensive consultation and rigorous testing, and this radio will change the way users look at their UHF CB communications equipment.”
