Hennessey Mammoth 1000 6×6 – is this the world’s most powerful pickup?

By Jessica Palmer 4 Min Read

They say everything is bigger in Texas and the team from Hennessey Performance has lived up to the reputation. Introducing the Hennessey Mammoth 1000 6×6 TRX, their biggest ever truck in an impressive 30-year history.

Starting with a stock Ram TRX, Hennessey stretched the chassis, tuned the V8 engine and added a third axle. Now measuring 7.19 metres from nose to tail and 2.13 metres high, the Hennessey Mammoth 1000 is definitely bigger.

Hennessey describes the Mammoth 1000 as terrifyingly imposing, monstrously capable and unthinkably fast. It sounds like hype, but given that the existing 6.2L Hellcat V8 engine received a new supercharger, fuel injector, high-flow induction system and more, it suddenly seems like an apt description. It’s now capable of 754kW of power and 1314Nm of torque, which is sent to all six wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. Did I mention is 2.23 metres wide?

“Man, I’m just blown away by how smooth it is … There ain’t no booby shakin.”

… bearing in mind, this is a Hennessey Mammoth 1000 6×6 full of men.

Company founder and CEO, John Hennessey said, “Everything we do at Hennessey Performance is turned up to 11, but the Mammoth 1000 6×6 is definitely turned up to 12! Everything on the Mammoth 6×6 is bigger, badder and more imposing – plus, it’s still super-fast while being a total powerhouse off-road. It’s the undisputed king of the road.”

Will we see one in Australia?

It’s unlikely we’ll see one in Australia anytime soon. While the Hennessey Mammoth 1000 6×6 is available for global shipping, there are currently no plans for it to be offered in right-hand drive. This means that anyone willing to fork out the asking price in excess of USD 449,950 (AUD 632,508) will be up for even more coins to get it shipped and legally converted.
