Bushranger 4×4 Gear has announced a fresh addition to its lighting line‑up, the Night Hawk ADV driving lights. The new driving lights are available in 7‑inch and 9‑inch kits and aimed at drivers who need both distance and peripheral illumination when travelling off road.

Bushranger says the Night Hawk ADV driving lights use a multi‑LED and reflector design to blend long‑range reach with a wide beam, and notes that each kit ships with two lights, a plug‑and‑play wiring loom, mounting hardware and three interchangeable protective covers (amber, blackout and clear). Additionally, the new kits sit above the brand’s entry‑level VLI and VBP models and below the flagship VCT range, offering another option in the busy driving‑light market.

Night Hawk ADV design and performance

Rather than relying on a single type of LED chip, Bushranger mixes small and large LEDs into a custom reflector system. Smaller chips and precision reflectors in the upper sections of the Night Hawk ADV lights create long‑distance spot performance, while larger chips and dedicated flood reflectors in the lower sections maximise side illumination. This mix produces a beam that blends reach and spread without the harsh cut‑off of some conventional spotlights.

According to Bushranger, the 7‑inch uses 23 LEDs to produce 19,556 effective lumens and provides 1 lux of light at 1013 metres with a 90‑metre spread, while the 9‑inch uses 27 LEDs and outputs 25,640 effective lumens with 1 lux reaching 1285 metres and a 105‑metre spread. Both sizes run at a neutral 5700 Kelvin colour temperature for clean white light and operate from 10–30 volts. Furthermore, Bushranger positions the new Night Hawk ADV lights between its touring-focused and competition‑oriented models, promising a balance of power and practicality.

Built tough for the bush

Bushranger’s Night Hawk ADV housings are die‑cast from aluminium and topped with impact‑resistant 3D polycarbonate lenses that resist chips and scratches. Additionally, the company says its 4 mm stainless‑steel brackets and dampening rubber mounts isolate the lights from vibration on corrugated tracks, while stainless‑steel hardware wards off corrosion.

Each Night Hawk ADV light carries dual IP68 and IP69K ratings, meaning it’s dust‑tight and can withstand immersion as well as high‑pressure water jets. Furthermore, a slip‑on breather helps equalise pressure and prevent condensation build‑up inside the housing, and the lenses can be swapped for amber or blackout covers to suit different driving conditions.

Smart protection and simple installation

Heat and voltage management are often overlooked in aftermarket lighting. In the Night Hawk ADV range, Bushranger uses a custom housing that dissipates heat even when there’s little airflow around the lamps and employs thermal management to prevent overheating. Meanwhile, built‑in voltage regulation and electromagnetic shielding maintain consistent brightness and reduce the chance of radio interference.

Every Night Hawk ADV kit includes a high‑capacity plug‑and‑play wiring loom. The 7‑inch kit uses a 300 W harness and the 9‑inch kit a 600 W harness, both with an integrated on/off rocker switch and 50 amp fuse. In addition, there are no dials or software to fiddle with; simply plug the Deutsch connectors in, mount the lights and you’re ready for the night run. The 9‑inch lights also use a three‑pin bolt pattern for added stability when mounting to bullbars or roof racks.
