Hardkorr Campers releases the HKC Xplorer Toy Hauler

Hardkorr Campers has just released the HKC Xplorer Toy Hauler based around their popular Xplorer range by giving it the ability to haul your dirt bikes or quad. This thing’s built tough for those remote trips where you want to bring the fun stuff along without sacrificing your comfort.
Making its debut at the Let’s Go Sunshine Coast Caravan & Outdoor Expo, you can be one of the first to see it if you happen to be in that neck of the woods.
Here’s where this setup is said to really shine – that compact footprint means you won’t be sweating bullets trying to squeeze through narrow bush tracks. This toy hauler has been built around a hot-dip galvanised steel chassis (that’s 150mm x 50mm x 3mm steel rail, if you’re keeping track) with a lightweight aluminium body that won’t weigh you down.
You’re looking at 500mm of ground clearance riding on 265/75 R16 mud-terrain tyres, backed up by heavy-duty wheel bearings and big-bore gas shocks that’ll soak up the punishment. The tandem independent coil suspension comes with front airbags, which is handy because you can fine-tune your ball weight depending on what you have loaded up.
The rear deck’s where the magic happens – it’ll carry three dirt bikes or a quad, with 24 tie-down points, recessed mounts, and wheel supports to keep everything locked down tight. Loading is said to be a breeze thanks to the gas strut lift system for the rooftop tent, foldaway aluminium ramps, and a 6,500lb electric winch that’ll drag your gear up without breaking your back.
Now here’s something clever – they’ve ditched the traditional ladder for a patented integrated staircase to get into the rooftop tent. This unique feature will make getting up and down a whole lot safer, especially for the kids or anyone who’s not as nimble as they used to be. It’s protected by an Australian Registered Design and patent application, so you know they’re serious about this one.
The rooftop tent uses a dual-lift gas strut system that’ll have you set up or packed down in under five minutes – no mucking about. You’ve got integrated LED lighting and USB charging built right in, plus they’ve upgraded to a 140mm mattress for proper comfort.
The 270° freestanding awning gives you shade and shelter wherever you need it, and there’s a tropical roof fitted to keep the heat down.
Power is sorted with 270Ah of onboard lithium (that’s 2 x 135Ah batteries working together), paired with a 40A DC-DC charger, 25A AC charger, and 510W of solar from three 170W panels. This setup’s got enough grunt to run a 3000W AC-switching inverter for your 240V gear and keep you going off-grid without constantly worrying about juice. You’ve also got a 12V system with USB, 240V, and Anderson outlets scattered around where you need them.
The slide-out kitchen’s got everything sorted – induction cooktop, big prep bench, collapsible sink with hot and cold water plumbing, utensil drawer, modular pantry, and tri-colour LED lighting so you can actually see what you’re doing.
There’s a fridge slide designed for an 80L fridge, extra prep space, and a 9kg gas bottle holder for your hot water systems or barbecues. They’ve thrown in a Hardkorr shower tent with gas struts as standard, complete with a front shower point plumbed for hot water.
Hardkorr says they’ve built this toy hauler with four things in mind: accessibility, quick setup, plenty of storage, and the ability to handle whatever our conditions throw at it. You’re looking at around 1,900L of storage volume and 100L water capacity. The ATM sits at 3,000kg with a tare weight of 1,800kg, leaving you roughly 1,200kg of payload to play with.
They are also backing the Xplorer Toy Hauler with a five-year structural warranty and offering optional extras like a Cruisemaster DO35 hitch, myCOOLMAN fridge, and a portable LPG hot water unit – if you want to spec it up further.
