CLUB 4X4 OFF-ROAD RECOVERY POLICY CHANGE

“Put simply, Club 4X4 will honour what is best for you in any claim made.”

We reckon it’s always good when an insurance company actually listens to its customers. After Club 4X4’s off-road recovery terms regarding “recovery out to a gazetted road” were called into question by policy-holders who pointed out that many of the tracks we drive on are actually demarcated as ‘gazetted roads’, Club 4X4 decided to do something about it.

Club 4X4 has taken this feedback on board and has now revised the wording in the Off-Road Recovery Policy to express that members will now be recovered to a sealed road or township (whichever is closest), not just a gazetted road.

Further to that, after talking with their customers and listening to their feedback, they undertook a complete review process, and the determination of pricing and excesses (which have now gone up due to the increase in coverage) was in direct consultation with Club 4X4 members.

So what does all this mean for your existing policy? Put simply, Club 4X4 will honour what is best for you in any claim made. So if the new wording is going to work in your favour, then it will apply, and you’ll simply be asked to pay the new excess structure.
