Ford has officially pulled the covers off the highly anticipated Ranger Super Duty Cab-Chassis line-up, confirming pricing and key specs ahead of its local launch in early 2026.
The Ford Ranger Super Duty pricing starts at $82,990 for the Single Cab-Chassis variant (Manufacturer’s List Price, excluding tray and on-road costs). That climbs to $86,490 for the Super Cab-Chassis and tops out at $89,990 for the Double Cab-Chassis.
But it’s not just about the price… this thing is a towing and payload beast.
Key specs at a glance:
- Towing capacity: 4,500kg braked
- GCM: 8,000kg
- Payload: Up to 1,982kg
- Ground clearance: Up to 299mm
- Water wading depth: 850mm across all variants
- Engine: 3.0L V6 turbo-diesel (154kW/600Nm)
These numbers set a new benchmark in the mid-size truck space, especially for those who want serious workhorse capability without stepping up to a full-size American pickup.
The Super Duty is built around the same 3.0L V6 turbo-diesel found in other Ranger variants but features a unique calibration to meet EUVI emissions standards. Despite the tweaks, Ford has retained the full torque output of 600Nm at a low 1750rpm, ideal for towing and carrying big loads.
Backing that up is a 25% more efficient cooling system, beefed-up axles (1,900kg front / 2,800kg rear GAWR), and front and rear diff locks as standard.
Cab-chassis payloads:
- Single Cab: up to 1,982kg
- Super Cab: up to 1,896kg
- Double Cab: up to 1,825kg
Ford has made a point of engineering the Ranger Super Duty for hard, Aussie conditions. Think high clearance, wide track (1,710mm), snorkel, and a wading depth of 850mm straight from the factory.
