Pedders now offer a bolt-on rear disc brake conversion kit to suit these vehicles, which they say will improve stopping distances dramatically. So much so, that independent testing found there was on average a 34% improvement in braking efficiency even when loaded to GVM. It isn’t just the improvement in braking performance that counts – disc brakes have many advantages to drums, such as the ability to auto adjust, they are simpler to service and won’t hold and trap water and mud like a drum brake will. Pedders rear disc brake conversions are supplied as a complete kit with all necessary hardware, and are ADR 35/05 compliant. Installation must be carried out by a Pedders outlet or approved distributor.
