We like Front Runner roof racks; in fact we have fitted one to a previous Troop Carrier project and more recently to our ex-mines vehicle Project Rusty. But we didn’t know they make them for the pint-sized Suzuki Jimny! This roof rack bolts to the factory roof rack points, and includes provisions for LED light bars as well as various tie-down options. Being an alloy construction, weight is kept to a minimum (just what you want with a lightweight vehicle) and the rack should never rust. There are two-and-one-half-million (okay a slight exaggeration) accessories available, with everything from jerry can holders to mounting brackets for additional lighting on offer. With a solid roof rack on the roof of the smallest four-wheel drive still on sale, it nearly doubles the amount of gear you can bring away. It is also worth mentioning that Front Runner makes roof racks for many, many vehicles. Not just the Jimny.
