For many, a four-wheel drive vehicle is a tool that allows you to pursue other hobbies. Be it fishing, rock climbing or towing a caravan/boat. When we spotted the Zego Sports Boat at the show, we simply had to include it in this list. In fact, Deputy Editor Ev was nearly escorted from the premises after climbing on top of it and riding the Zego like a bucking bull while screaming, “I’ll never let go Jack. I’ll never let go…” Seems like someone has been watching re-runs of Titanic. Anyway, the Zego team tells us this sports boat is unsinkable; they have been trying for 15 years. The product is made in New Zealand and is actually customisable for your needs. Importantly they also mention the Zego is a great family boat – because it is safe, tough, easy to drive and simple to maintain. Which is kind of the opposite of what you would expect from something that looks like a jet ski crossed with a pontoon boat. Either way, we want one.
