Presented by 4WD NSW & ACT, the Sydney 4WD and Adventure Show is on this September and is said to be the biggest 4WD Show in NSW. For 2024, it has grown even bigger!
The Sydney 4WD and Adventure Show is the major 4WDing event for NSW and is part of a national group that covers similar events in Perth and Adelaide. Show Director Peter Woods sees the Sydney 4WD and Adventure Show as being the one-stop place for visitors to see and purchase a variety of products and services relating to the outdoor leisure industry.
What the organisers have to say
Peter Woods says the Show features all the big brands in caravans, camper trailers and motorhomes, new 4WDs and SUVs, camping and 4WD accessories, fishing gear and more. He said the event is an also interactive experience that equips visitors with the gear, the advice, and the inspiration to get out there and explore.
“This is the big outdoor show for NSW and is held at the awesome Sydney Dragway in Eastern Creek. The venue is perfect for a Show like this as we can offer free parking, and plenty of room for displays and attractions,” Peter said.
“The Show has been steadily growing for the past couple of years, and in 2024 we will have a record number of exhibitors and will be introducing new entertainment and attractions for visitors to get involved in!”
“We know that everyone is looking for knowledge, tips, and info that helps them on their adventures, and we have plenty of experts at the Show ready to pass on their knowledge. This is also the Show for new release products, and this year there are plenty of new products from major brands that will be on show.”
“We also like to give a try-before-you-buy type experience where we can and see this event as an ideal place to get up close and personal with the products they are looking at buying, and giving them a real experience to help in decision making.”
“Whatever outdoor pursuit you are into – whether it’s 4wdriving, fishing, camping, caravanning, boating – everything you need is all here in the one place,” Peter said.

Watch and Learn!
The 4WD and Adventure Show is designed as an interactive event where visitors can get equipped with knowledge and skills for their adventures – as well as have a bit of fun. In 2024, the Show will bring back favourite attractions as well as introduce new activities for show visitors to get involved in.
The new Toyo Tires’ Open Country Zone encompasses all the main demo areas of the Show. The Toyo Tires Open Country Zone offers visitors technical and practical information on 4WDriving and overlanding to equip them for exploring our country. Each zone within the includes different presentations and interactive demonstrations including 4WD Recovery, Towing, Reversing Demos and more.

Training and traction
with Getabout Training, the Tough Dog Traction Track, the new Bendix 4WD Test Track and the new Bush Mechanics Area sponsored by Terrain Tamer 4WD.
For anyone getting into 4WDriving, or for those who need a refresher, Getabout Training Services and Tow-Ed will be presenting regular demonstrations on 4wd recovery, using snatch straps, winching, towing and reversing demos and more. In addition, the team from Girl’s Day Out will be hosting regular demos on tyre maintenance and puncture repairs, as well as talks on camping, bush safety, communications and more.
Tech stuff
For those interested in more technical aspects of 4WDriving and vehicles, the Tough Dog Traction Track is set up with specially designed ramps that are used to demonstrate the capabilities of a vehicle and give audiences an up-close look at exactly how the vehicle works. Driving the vehicle over the ramps allows audiences to see the suspension flexing, to demonstrate when traction is lost, and to give tips on how to overcome these issues.
New this year is the Bush Mechanics Area, presented by Geoff Lewis (Seriously Series) and sponsored by Terrain Tamer 4WD. Demos will be held twice a day each day at the Show, with visitors encouraged to pre-book a seat to watch the session. Geoff Lewis (and special guests) will look at the basics of what can go wrong on your vehicle while you are travelling and how to fix it as simply as possible.
Another new feature of the Show in 2024 is the Hema Maps Adventure Travel Stage, an interactive stage area where visitors can get inside knowledge on some of the most iconic destinations in Australia. Hear from people who have done the trips, learn from their experiences, and get tips and info to help you plan your own trips. Visitors can book in to one of the four sessions each day at the Show and come away with a wealth of knowledge and the inspiration to get out there and explore.

Get in and go!
For those who would rather get in for a ride, the new Bendix 4WD Test Track allows visitors to get in for a test drive around the purpose-built track. The new look test track will include six different obstacles that have been built to resemble real life 4wdriving.
The Isuzu Iron Summit is back this year, offering visitors an extreme 4WD experience! Strap in as your driver takes you up the Iron Summit, a seriously steep 45-degree climb up and over a custom-built hydraulic ramp – six metres into the air – all from the comfort of an Isuzu D-MAX or MU-X.
For those who enjoy an adventure on two wheels, we also have a motorcycle track set up for test rides, which also includes tests and demos of side by side and quad bikes. Plus for something completely different, visitors can leave the road behind and take a helicopter ride! Thanks to the team from Mount Hart Station on the West Australian Kimberley, their helicopter will be at the Show with a pilot waiting to give joy rides to visitors.

Plenty of entertainment
One of the most popular attractions that can only be seen at the 4WD Show in Eastern Creek is the rock crawling championships on Tough Dog Mountain. Visitors can see all the action of these crazy
buggies and even crazier drivers as they test their driving skills and their vehicles’ capabilities going up the purpose-built rock wall. Tough Dog Mountain is the setting for the final round of the 2024 Ultimate Rock Crawling Championships, and with plenty at stake for these drivers, it’s sure to be an exciting event to watch!
The Engel Bush Camp Stage is back with special guests including Jock and Jesse from 4WD24/7, Jase Andrews from All 4 Adventure, Ronny Dahl, Sam Eyles, Bridget from Red Dirt Diary and the team from Channel 7’s The 4WD Adventure Show. The Engel Bush Camp Stage is hosted by The Duck from the Offroad and Camping Show and is presented by Unsealed 4×4.
Show Your Dirt is back! Show Your Dirt is an exclusive show and shine competition that will see some of the best rigs chosen to be displayed and judged. Sam Eyles (Built Not Bought) has selected his top 20 vehicles to be displayed and judged at the Show and the winners will be announced on Sunday afternoon.
The Content Creator area is back with popular youtube video creators at the Show. Visitors can come and meet their favourites, check out their vehicles and hear all about their latest travels and adventures. The Berkeley Fishing Show is back with regular demos in the Supertank, and we will again have the team from John’s Reptile Awareness Displays showing their selection of deadly snakes and reptiles, and giving advice on how to avoid (or deal with) snake bites while out in the bush.
Enter to win
In 2024, the WA Kimberley is coming to the Show! A bucket-list destination, Western Australia’s Kimberley region is known for its expansive wilderness defined by rugged ranges, dramatic gorges, semi-arid savannah and a largely isolated coastline. The mostly unsealed (unpaved) Gibb River Road runs 660km through the region’s heart, passing by Windjana Gorge National Park, which has towering limestone cliffs and pools where freshwater crocodiles gather.
Show visitors can WIN the Ultimate Gibb River Road Adventure just by being at the Show! Our winner will embark on an exhilarating 6-day outback tour that uncovers the wonders of the West Kimberley. Valued at $25,000 this is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure for two people, and all thanks to Mount Hart Wilderness Lodge, Ventur Atlas and the 4WD and Adventure Show.
