In the same year that Aussies started doing away with one and two-cent coins, the now iconic 80 series Landcruiser was just a toddler, the Holden Commodore was dominating and the West Coast Eagles took out their first premiership. On the music front, Billy Ray Cyrus gave us Achy Breaky Heart, Sir Mix-A-Lot topped the charts with Baby Got Back and how could we forget Right Said Fred singing “I’m Too Sexy”.
Yep, it was 1992.
More importantly? The very first 4WD and Adventure Show was held at McCallum Park in Perth, Western Australia.
Fast forward to 2022 and we’re now celebrating 30 years of the show, which has grown to include Sydney and Adelaide. Show Director Peter Woods said the 30th anniversary of the 4WD and Adventure Shows was a great achievement and a sign that Aussies really do love the great outdoors.
“Over the past 30 years we have developed the event from a simple trade expo to an interactive lifestyle event that offers something for everyone,” Woods said.
