Not Trail Dominator, or Trail Killer. Grappler! Now, truth be told we aren’t 100% sure what a Grappler is (some kind of Sumo wrestler?), but from what we are hearing and seeing these tyres from Nitto are fast becoming popular with four-wheel drivers both here and in the USA. The Nitto Trail Grappler is an aggressive mud-terrain design, available in a range of sizes to suit rim diameters from 15 inches all the way up to 24 inches. Despite the rugged appearance, Nitto claims that the Trail Grappler is actually 36% quieter than other mud-terrain tyres in its range. A 3-ply sidewall is encouraging to see; as are generous amounts of tread siping for better on-road wet weather performance.
