One-off armoured G500 4×4 is built to hunt zombies

The Mercedes-Benz G500 4×42 is already mental, Gruma and Armoured Car Systems collaborated to turn it up to 11. Enter the Enok P1.

Take a Mercedes-Benz G500 4×42 and throw a whole heap of armour at it and you end up with the Enok P1. Weird name, sure, but the Enok P1, a one-off creation by Gruma and Armoured Car Systems in Germany, has been armoured to withstand explosions from roadside bombs and attack by assault rifle wielding nutters. The wheels are armoured, and the tyres are run-flats to ensure the thing can keep driving even after being attacked.

The engine has been left alone but you would expect the weight of the armour to have an impact on performance. And there’s no information about the suspension, so, while the standard setup is excellent, the added weight of body armour means its dynamic performance will be blunted.

On the inside, this thing is comfortable with carbon fibre and leather splashed all over the cabin. There is even a not-so discrete armoured hatch that can double either as an escape port or a hatch in which to, er, fight off zombies.

This is a one-off creation and no price has been revealed. We’d assume it’s a case of paranoid billionaires or dictators need only apply.
