Launching in America this year and expected to drive into the land down under next year, the 2024 Jeep Wrangler has just been revealed by Jeep. It’s the first update to the Jeep Wrangler since 2017 when the JL Wrangler first went on sale in the US. So it’s safe to say we’re expecting to see some pretty big things out of this new model, both in terms of technology and safety enhancements.

Jeep is saying that their new Wrangler “adds greater capability, new technology and advanced safety features, all while staying true to the Wrangler formula and delivering the freedom to go anywhere and do anything.”

So what’s new?

There are some facelift features coming with the new 2024 Jeep Wrangler, including a new grille design that is now slightly smaller than previously.

Jeep has revealed that there are multiple ‘open air freedom’ options. This includes a soft top, two hard tops and a one-touch powered top.

Other new additions to get excited about are a tweaked rear Dana 44 axle and a factory-fit 8000lb winch, as well as a crawl ratio of 100:1 meaning the 2024 Jeep Wrangler should be even more capable in technical terrain.

Inside the vehicle, we will be seeing powered front seats, a new and larger central touchscreen (12.3-inch) as well as extra airbags for increased safety.

Didn’t you guys tell us that Jeep sales were declining?

That we did. With declining sales across Australia, we pondered whether the glory days of Jeep were numbered. Despite how much Australia love their four-wheel drives, Jeep sales fell 31.7 per cent between January to March 2023, when you compare it to the first three months of 2022.

We wonder if the arrival of the updated Wrangler will be able to change these statistics and revive the love for Jeep in Australia?

Further detail on Australian-delivered 2024 Wranglers can be expected later this year. So stay tuned for an update if you’re considering this rig for your next adventures.

How much is it?

No pricing has yet been confirmed, but we reckon you’ll likely have to dig a little bit deeper into your pockets for the 2024 Jeep Wrangler.
