The Parks and Wildlife Service wishes to advise that the Mitchell River National Park is now closed for the 2017 season. Parks and Wildlife Service will be conducting aerial operations in the southern section of Mitchell River National Park, and the southern majority of Laterite Conservation Park. Wolfe Creek Crater National Park has been reopened however, with authorities wanting to extend thanks for the publics patience. Silent Grove Campground and Bell Gorge and the associated roads, Silent Grove Road and Silent Grove – Bell Gorge Road, are closed however due to the onset of the wet season which has made the roads impassable.

2016 report? Why?
WA stands for “Wait Awhile”.
I did the Gibb River Road in week 3 of May and saw one grader on the 670kms of road. It was the most rainy wet season in some years and the maintenance budget was obviously reduced from normal. Having said that, it wasn’t as bad as three years ago in many places.
It’s WA.
It’s like another country to anyone “over-East”.
Enquiring about the road access north of Carnarvon to Coral Bay. Not the North Coast Highway but the (Dirt) road that runs near the coast north/south.
