Vintage military 4X4 hardware up for grabs

There is some fabulous vintage military 4X4 hardware up for grabs through the Pickles auction website.

Those who fancy a bit of vintage military 4X4 hardware need to jump on to this auction being held in Adelong in NSW.

The auction is being held on behalf of the Deceased Estate of Kevin Purcell, and it includes a range of vehicles, earthmoving equipment, machinery, parts and accessories.

There’s a huge range of fantastic old military vehicles up for grabs and some of the rare gems include a 1941 Dodge WC7 and a 1942 Dodge WC51. The WC7 is a restored half-ton Command Reconnaissance vehicle with 1780 miles showing on the odo while the WC51 is a restored 3/4-ton Weapons Carrier with just 1 mile on the odo.

This restored Dodge WC51 has just 1 mile on the odo.

Of course, there are a few old Jeeps in there as well, including a 1942 Ford GPW and a 1943 Willys MB, as well as a later model ex-US Army 1971 Ford M151A2, complete with canvas cover, VF/VHF Comms Radio, black-out and convoy lights, jerry can, pintle hook and rifle holder.

Other 4X4s at the auction include a selection of ex-army Series IIA and Series III Land Rovers.

If heavy machinery is more your thing, check out the 1973 Kaiser Jeep XM815, the ’82 Mack 6X6 NI, the 1944 Reo US6-62 or the 1942 FWD HAR-1.

Want to restore your won rig? No worries… there are plenty of other vehicles up for grabs that are in various states of disrepair.
