There’s a saying that time flies when you’re having fun. Well for Just4Kids, it’s definitely running under their wheels. Just4Kids was established in 2003 with a commitment to directly assist disadvantaged children under the age of 18 and give them a better quality of life by providing goods and services through the working efforts of volunteers and generous contributions from the community.

The charity has been operating tag-along tours for the past 10 years – finding locations that suit its members to not only enjoy the tag-along aspect but which also have an organised route that links participants to the communities along the way. After 10 years and an average duration of 10 days per tour, that’s a lot of remote areas where they have made long-term friends.

Leaving Cairns on 27 June, the motor trail tag-along will be heading through a number of iconic destinations on its way to the top… reaching Cooktown on 9 July. The 13-day tour will be heading through The Daintree, Endeavour Falls, Lakefield National Park, The Frenchman Track, Moreton Telegraph Station, The Old Telegraph Line, Jardine River, Loyalty Beach, The Tip and Merluna Station before finishing up in Cooktown. Lay days along the route will ensure you have time to enjoy your Cape York experience. The objective is for entrants to get the most out of their holiday. With that in mind, the organisers have found several off-road routes away from the Development Road.

The Just4Kids motor trail team are a great bunch of people – well organised, professional, with many years of tag-along experience. They are there to make sure your Cape adventure is hassle-free and fun.

The safari includes all meals supplied by a friendly catering crew, the final night presentation dinner and itinerary tours. It is camper trailer friendly. Families are also welcome. Being a fully-catered event with experienced mobile chefs really takes out all of the ‘end of the day’ chores. Another advantage is going away for over 10 days and needing to self-cater requires you to load your rig to the hilt… so the fully-serviced tag-along allows you all that extra space and lightness in your rig which can be very helpful in sandy conditions. Between the refrigerated cool rooms and Engel fridges they can also ensure you have the freshest fruits and quality food at all times.
