Not long after announcing a refreshed Grand Cherokee line-up for 2020, Jeep has now updated its Cherokee range.
A new range-topping Cherokee S-Limited headlines the 2020 Cherokee line-up. This model features new body colour cladding, Granite Crystal seven-slot grille, Granite Crystal 19-inch alloy wheels and black exterior badges.
The Cherokee S-Limited retails for $52,650, and Jeep claims the ‘S’ Package provides more than $3750 worth of value for an additional $2700 over the standard Cherokee Limited.
The Jeep Cherokee S-Limited is available exclusively with a 3.2-litre petrol V6 engine that makes a claimed 200kW and 315Nm, mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission and a full-time 4×4 system. Standard equipment on Limited and S-Limited grades includes leather trim, eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated and ventilated front seats, 8.4-inch touchscreen, satellite navigation, Park Assist, adaptive cruise control, auto high-beam, keyless entry and remote start.
Other models in the 2020 Cherokee range include the entry-level four-cylinder petrol-engine Sport, the V6 Limited and the off-road focussed V6 Trailhawk. The Trailhawk is what Jeep calls ‘Trail Rated’ which means it can conquer the iconic Rubicon Trail. Standard equipment on this model includes Jeep’s Active Drive Lock 4×4 System, Selec-Terrain with Rock Mode, raised suspension, two-speed transfer case, locking rear diff, 17-inch alloys, rated tow points, hill descent control and underbody skid plates.
