The BEAST Driving Light by Lightforce has just been given a serious nod at the 2024 Australian Good Design Awards, bagging a win in the Product Design category. Recognised for its standout design and innovation, this bit of kit has broken the mould when it comes to driving lights.
This year’s Good Design Awards, held at Sydney’s International Convention Centre, weren’t just about looking good; they were all about how design can actually make life better. And the BEAST Driving Light by Lightforce certainly fit the bill, impressing the judges with its slick three-mode operation that you can control from inside the vehicle, plus a rugged, military-style look. No need for external mods – this thing comes packed with features straight out of the box.
The jury didn’t hold back on the praise either, pointing out how BEAST sets a new standard in driving lights by bringing practical, innovative features to the table while keeping it stylish.

This innovative driving light features unique form and functionality, including three-mode operation switchable from inside the vehicle, and a military-inspired design. It breaks away from conventional styles and offers advanced features previously only possible through external modifications. The Jury applauds the driving light for its bold design and innovative functionality. Its distinctive appearance and practical features, such as internal mode switching, set a new standard in driving lights, enhancing both usability and aesthetics in a competitive market.”
Rachel Wye, head honcho at Good Design Australia, summed it up by saying this year’s winners show how design can make real change – not just for looks, but for how we live, work, and even help the planet. And that’s what the Lightforce BEAST does. It’s not just functional; it’s forward-thinking, and it’s giving other driving lights a run for their money.
The Good Design Awards have been around since 1958, and every year, they show off the best in the business across everything from architecture to engineering and even social impact design. This year, more than 80 experts from all over the world judged the entries, looking for designs that don’t just tick the boxes, but push the boundaries.
