If the National 4×4 Outdoors Show is already on your calendar, now’s the time to grab your tickets.
Second-release tickets for the Melbourne 4×4 Show are now available for $29, saving $5 off the $34 gate price. Kids under 16 are free, but organisers say the discounted allocation won’t last forever, with prices increasing once the next ticket release begins.
Running from 21-23 August at the Melbourne Showgrounds, this year’s event isn’t just bringing back hundreds of exhibitors – it also introduces several new features aimed squarely at the 4WD community.
MadMates takes centre stage
One of the biggest additions for 2026 is MadMates, teaming up MadMatt and Lucas Bree for live demonstrations and practical recovery education.
The pair will perform a live rollover demonstration while explaining vehicle recovery techniques, safety considerations and what to do when things don’t go to plan on the tracks. Expect plenty of audience interaction, behind-the-scenes stories from their adventures and opportunities to ask questions.
Creator Showcase puts Australia’s best builds on display
If you’re the sort of person who spends as much time admiring a well-built touring rig as driving one, the new Content Creator Showcase should be worth checking out.
The feature celebrates some of Australia’s best-known 4WD content creators and their vehicles, from practical overland setups to highly modified custom builds that have built large online followings.
Learn something at Gear Up & Go
The new Gear Up & Go Stage, hosted by Girls Day Out 4WD Edition, focuses on practical education rather than product sales.
Sessions will cover topics including recovery equipment, communications, vehicle setup, touring accessories and the gear that actually matters when you’re heading off-road.
Whether you’re building your first touring vehicle or refining an existing setup, it’s designed to deliver practical advice you can use once you leave the showgrounds.
Think your rig deserves a trophy?
The Show N Shine competition returns this year with a brand-new Show Pony category, recognising vehicles that stand out for presentation and attention to detail.
Alongside returning categories, entrants receive two complimentary show tickets, free parking and the chance to put their pride and joy in front of thousands of fellow enthusiasts.
Hear from the people who live the lifestyle
The Outback Stage once again brings together a strong lineup of Australia’s best-known 4WD personalities.
Expect appearances from Pat Callinan, Jase Andrews, Shaun Whale, Jocko McDonald, Jamie Hazelden, Dingo Dave, MadMatt, Lucas Bree and plenty of other touring experts and content creators sharing stories, lessons learned and practical advice from life on the tracks.
Win more than $13,000 worth of gear
Visitors can also enter the show’s Adventure Upgrade Giveaway, with more than $13,000 worth of prizes up for grabs.
The prize pool includes products from brands such as Goodyear, Carbon Offroad, 12 Volt Direct, Kayo and other well-known names in the off-road industry, making it a worthwhile bonus for anyone already planning to attend.
