Simple things like just changing oil filters can take hours and years worth of skin off your knuckles. When it comes time to fit a dual-battery system (as we all want to do), finding the space to physically house a large battery can be damn-near impossible. This is why these exciting auxiliary battery systems from Offroad Downunder sparked our interest… terrible pun intended. They have a variety of space-efficient solutions for many popular vehicles on the market. In this instance, being the Ford Ranger, the auxiliary battery tray is mounted underneath the rear seat of the vehicle. All mounting brackets are supplied, as well as instructions for an easy install (drilling two holes is required). An Optima D34 sealed battery is the recommended battery of choice; however other sealed batteries will fit the supplied space.
