The Nissan Navara D22 doesn’t come fitted with a steering damper from the factory. The steering arm design in a D22 can promote steering wheel wobble and kickback on and off-road, so a simple way to improve steering response and feel is to fit a damper. This was easier said then done in the past with custom brackets needing to be fabricated, but since Tough Dog has released a steering damper bracket there is now a direct bolt-on component available. No drilling or welding is required; it simply installs directly to the factory mounting points. The bracket is designed to work with any steering damper in the Tough Dog range, including their EXT (heavy duty), RTC (return to centre) or SV9 (9-stage adjustable).
