When the Westinghouse people told us they were hitting the 4X4, camping and caravanning market, we were just about certain it’d be a fridge. But no, they’ve brought to market a rather angry digital inverter generator. It runs at a reasonably quiet 51dB, and will push out a rather respectable 2.4kW. The digital inverter and pure sine wave output means it’ll run all of the typical sensitive electronics we have these days, without causing harm to the circuitry. It has a pair of 240V AC and 12V DC outputs, as well as an LCD display; and everything important to get it running is colour-coded in yellow (think pull start, choke and fuel).
