GME are a household name in the 4X4 industry for their top-tier products, and constantly pushing the boundaries. It shouldn’t come as any surprise. Family owned, they’ve been in the game since the 1950s building everything from marine stereos to personal locating beacons. They’re still located in western Sydney, and employ 230 people in local Aussie manufacturing, engineering, and research and development. What a lot of people might not know, is they’re unbelievably engaged in the community too. And that’s where the TX6160XBL comes into play.

The specs

GME’s TX6160X platform has become the company’s go-to hand held UHF for nearly any situation. The platform has a whole bunch of handy features that make it the perfect companion for any 4X4. The striking blue colour is designed as a conversation starter and to raise awareness for the foundation. They do vital work supporting people affected by anxiety, depression, and suicide. GME have gone one step further than that though and 10% from the sale of each radio goes directly to Beyond Blue to help them with the work they do.
