It would have to be a tough gig working for a UHF manufacturer; it seems like there is a new model released every week with more-and-more options crammed in. The latest release from Uniden caught our attention though, as it is loaded to the brim with exciting features and benefits that are actually extremely useful. The first one being what Uniden call Smart Mic Technology in the handpiece, boasting a three-way smart key, built-in dynamic speaker and one touch control. Naturally, the UH9080 has 80 usable channels, but there are so many other innovations crammed into this unit we would need an entire magazine to do it justice. One point we found really interesting is that this unit can be run off 12 or 24v making installation a snack. It also boasts a dual speaker design, with audio outputting from both the handset and UHF base. Oh, Uniden cover the UH9080 with a five-year warranty for peace of mind too.
