Walking into a 4WD show is like sending a kid into a candy store. Waiting through the doors are a heap of brands, products, vehicles, special guest speakers and activities. There’s so much to see and do and you’ve only got a few hours. How do you decide what to prioritise? We’ve got you covered and have listed the top 6 things to see at the Sydney 4WD Show!

RV

For our travelling RV folk who love a weekend away or live their life on the road between destinations, we’ve got some goodies for you.

Thule rooftop tent

1. Thule Rooftop Tent

Thule has recently revealed their brand new Approach Rooftop Tent, and the Sydney 4WD Show is one of the first places where you can steal a glimpse. This bad boy offers a sensational amount of interior space, wow-factor skylights so you can stargaze all night long and a premium, dual-density mattress for a lush sleep. It’s easily mounted, allowing you to set up in mere minutes and even locks the tent in for extra security. You can find it at the Roof Rack Superstore Stand #D24 at the Sydney 4WD and Adventure Show.

2. Jayco Offgrid X

If you’re someone who likes to be ahead of the crowd, you’ve got to check out the Jayco Offgrid X. As the only built model in existence, you won’t want to miss your chance to get a glimpse of this beauty. If you’re a weekend warrior or someone who loves an extended getaway, a 400AH lithium battery with 3000W inverter and BMS DC to DC charger will keep you off grid for long periods. You can take the comforts of home on the road and pack enough to keep you going, with plenty of storage space. The bumper bar storage unit is an awesome addition, especially if you need to bring along firewood to start up your campfire when you arrive at your campsite. Overhead kitchen cupboards, plenty of drawer space, a full wardrobe and cupboards above the main bed allow you to take along all you need to last the distance off-grid. Who says you can’t live in luxury on-the-road?

Lumberjack Camper Trailer

3. Lumberjack Camper Trailer

Towing a camper trailer is a great way to bring your home with you when you’re off on an exciting adventure. The Lumberjack Camper Trailer is a great option, with three models available including the Johanna Forward Fold, the Otway Forward Fold and the Glenaire Double Fold. Made with a StyroMAX insulated panel body, weight has been reduced to allow for easier towing. Make sure to check out the Lumberjack range at the Sydney 4WD Show this weekend.

Vehicles

There’s no doubt we love a sneak peek, especially when spy photos emerge of an up and coming vehicle. Experience the latest vehicles to hit the market and check it out in person at the Sydney 4WD Show.

Ford

4. Ford

One of the biggest crowd-favourite brands, Ford, is bringing along three new rigs. You can check out the new Raptor, Ranger Sport and Everest Sport all in one stop.

Highlights of the Next-Gen Ford Everest Sport include that desirable new V6 turbo-diesel engine. An overhauled front end with blacked-out grille and new C-Clamp LED headlights and a sleek new updated interior. It’s riding high on 20in gloss black alloy wheels too.

The sporty look you find on the Ranger Sport comes from that same front end you’ll find on the Everest. The Next-Gen Ranger also sports the beefed up drivetrain, widened wheeltrack, lengthened wheelbase, and a whole host of off-road and work site features. It’s also running that gorgeous 10.1in centre touschreen.

The anticipated next-gen Raptor does’nt disappoint, with Matrix LED Headlamps gating the bold ‘FORD’ lettering on the grille. The most powerful Ranger ever built features a new 3.0L V6 Twin Turbo EcoBoost engine that produces up to 292kW at 5650rpm and 583Nm of torque at 3500rpm. It’s also sporting some of the most insane suspension every fitted to a factory 4X4. Fun fact: this wild engine is made from the same high-performance material that Ford also uses in NASCAR racing engines.

Ineos

5. Ineos Grenadier

This weekend’s Sydney 4WD show will be the first time anyone in Australia has been able to see the new Ineos publicly. Talk about being ahead of FOMO! The prototype you’ll find on display is a PTO2 vehicle. This is the most recent and close-to-production-intent version that currently exists. If you’re a fan of old school solid axle diesel powered 4X4s then the Ineos should be keeping you awake at night in anticipation.

Walkinshaw Silverado 1500

6. Silverado 1500

Make sure you’ve got the Silverado 1500 on your list of must-sees at the Show, as Walkinshaw Performance has taken it to a seriously bonkers level. The Chevrolet Silverado 1500 was created with over 100 years of pickup knowledge, and Walkinshaw Performance has accentuated everything. Thanks to Walkinshaw, the 6.2L V8 engine now pumps out an impressive exhaust note, with ride and handling to boot via its 2in Suspension Lift with a trick Method Racewheel and Goodyear Mud Terrain combo. Your presence will certainly be felt on the street in this beast. Check it out and snap a few pictures for your Instagram feed while you’re at it.

There are only 6 awesome things you’ve got to tick off when you hit up the show this weekend. There’s an insane amount more to do and see, so make sure you check out the Sydney 4WD Show website and plan your day/s accordingly!
