The mildly-tweaked 2020 Nissan Navara is on-sale now boasting NVH improvements across the range as well as safety updates.
The 2020 Nissan Navara is on-sale now in Australia boasting a raft of NVH tweaks to improve passenger comfort. These include, “A new acoustic windscreen reduces wind and road noise entering the cabin, while new sound-absorbing material added to the centre console, firewall and transmission tunnel further reduces noise. Finally, a new engine cover treatment helps minimise engine noise”.
Beyond this, safety has been improved with the addition of Nissan Intelligent Mobility (NIM) across the range. The biggest addition is the Brake Assist which is essentially an autonomous emergency brake function that will either apply the brakes for you if the “The laser radar sensor detects the distance to a preceding vehicle and the relative velocity. If necessary, the system activates the brakes of the vehicle”. Other than this, it also gets Nissan’s around view monitor, hill-start assist, hill descent control, and “Active Brake Limited Slip (ABLS) system senses wheel spin, then automatically applies the brakes to the spinning wheel(s) and directs power to the wheel(s) with the best traction. Navara 4X4’s offer 4-wheel ABLS”.
But that’s about it, unless you’re looking at buying the Navara ST dualcab which get s a Black Styling Package as standard, offering a black grille, black front fog light surrounds, a black alloy sport bar and black mirror caps all giving the popular Navara variant a tough new road presence. Black-on-silver 18-inch alloys, replacing the existing 16-inch wheels, round out the changes… four-wheel drivers won’t be super impressed with that.
