From their humble beginnings in Moorabbin, in Melbourne’s South East, Don Kyatt Spare Parts have hit yet another admirable milestone. Continuing their global expansion, Don Kyatt Spare Parts have opened a new facility in Chile this month, marking their 8th international branch. If you include Australia, this marks their 18th overall branch.
By expanding internationally, they’ve been able to introduce their Terrain Tamer and Flashlube brands into new markets including Europe, New Zealand, Fiji, Papua New Guinea and most recently, Africa.
Welcome to Chile
The new Chilean branch operates from the capital city of Santiago. Its role is to act as a launching pad for the South American and Central American areas. These areas have previously proven to be strong markets for the export of the Terrain Tamer brand.
Stock is already available and operations are underway as of the 1st of April. The branch will be managed by native Spanish speaker, Nicolas Bonilla, a former assistant manager of the company’s European operation in France.
South American consumption of LPG is among the highest in the world, making it a key market for the export of the Don Kyatt Group’s additives and lubricants brand, Flashlube. In particular, their original Valve Saver Fluid and kit products.
Chile has similar environments to outback Australia
“Our brand’s beginnings are rooted in outback Australia and the extreme conditions that the terrain offers,” said General Manager, Brent Hutchinson. “Chile has very similar environments, so it makes sense as a base for our operations in South America.”
Don Kyatt Spare Parts has been shipping to the region for 30 years, but it had always been a slow process. Now local stock holdings will bridge that gap, so the company can both service and grow their existing customer base more effectively.
