Uniden have developed location sharing UHF radios that are both handheld and in-vehicle

Whether you’re an outdoor adventurer, an avid tourer or a passionate traveller, when you’re out and about it pays to keep tabs on your location. Uniden Australia’s XTRAK 50 Pro and XTRAK 80 Pro work to keep you connected no matter where you are. Taking communication to a new level, these two devices offer app-enabled location sharing functionality between a handheld and in-vehicle UHF Radio.

Why’s this so revolutionary?

Well to start with, it’s a first in the industry! Secondly, it allows you to share your location through the XTRAK Bluetooth app with advanced positional tracking and location sharing features. This ensures others in your convoy, or mates you’re on an adventure with, know exactly where you are. It doesn’t matter if you’re in another vehicle with the XTRAK 80 Pro, or if you head off on foot with XTRAK 50 Pro, you have the ability to communicate and establish your exact position. This is because Uniden’s location tracking works between the in vehicle and handheld UHF radios, making sure both locations are accurate.

The XTRAK 80 Pro has a large, anti-glare OLED display to allow you to read it in even the brightest places of Australia. The backlit keypad has your back when you’re in low lighting. If you find yourself in a noisy environment, you’ll be thanking powerful integrated two-watt speakers and four-level voice enhancers that enable maximum sound clarity. Additionally, you can connect to the vehicle’s audio speakers via bluetooth. If you’re wondering how it’s held in the vehicle, the magnetic mount is the quick, easy, and convenient way to secure it.

Off the mount, the XTRAK 80 Pro has up to five watts of power. It also provides up to 18 kilometres of range, depending on topographical factors. The XTRAK 50 Pro delivers up to five watts of power and provides up to 17 kilometres of range, depending on topographical factors.
