Oztent has brought out a new addition to its camping lineup, the CS Swag range. Dubbed the “Cubbie Swag,” the new models offer a minimalist footprint and come in two sizes: the CS-1 King Single and the CS-2 Double. The new Oztent Cubbie swags have been built from the ground up with Oztent’s new light-diffusing CT-Tex fabric, which not only blocks the early morning sunlight for a longer lie-in, but also allows for better breathability.

Designed with cross-ventilation in mind, both models include internally operated vents at the head and foot, plus an extra vent under the front vestibule to maintain airflow even in bad weather. The vestibule itself also features a floor extension, giving campers space to keep gear out of the weather without cluttering up the sleeping area.

Each Oztent Cubbie swag includes a 40mm replaceable foam mattress, five internal mesh storage pockets and comes packed in oversized zippered carry bags for easier storage and transport. Small but practical details that point to Oztent’s understanding of how campers use their gear.

Compact, comfortable, and ready to roll

Weighing just 5.6kg, the CS-1 is tailored for solo campers looking to save space. It packs down to 90cm x 25cm x 60cm, making it a solid fit for rooftop cages, ute trays, and tightly packed 4WD setups.

The Oztent CS-2 Cubbie swag steps things up with room for two but keeps its footprint compact, weighing 7.8kg with a pack-down size of 110cm x 35cm x 60cm. For couples or mates touring together, it offers a practical sleep system that won’t eat up half the boot space.

Other features across the range include UV50+ protection, YKK zips, No-See-Um mesh, and pre-installed breathable polyester inner tents. The anodised aluminium pole structure adds strength without the weight penalty.

A modern take on the classic bush bedroll

In a market that’s shifting toward lighter and more efficient gear, the Oztent Cubbie Swags appear to have landed at just the right time. Whether you’re heading off-road for the weekend, setting up a compact touring rig, or just need a simple to pack go-to swag, the CS range looks to be a modern update on the classic bush bedroll.

Both models come with a standard two-year warranty, with the option to extend to three years by registering the product.
