The 2026 National 4X4 Outdoors Show returns to the Brisbane Showgrounds from 13–15 March, bringing together hundreds of brands, the industry’s biggest personalities, and massive exhibitor deals. With second-release tickets strictly limited, now is the time to secure your entry before final-release pricing kicks in for Queensland’s ultimate 4WD marketplace.

Look, I’ll be straight with you – I’ve dragged myself to a 4WD show or two over the years telling myself I was just there to “have a look.” (I’ve never once just had a look.) The thing is, once you’re standing in front of a fresh 80 Series build or getting a hands-on rundown from the bloke who actually designed the recovery gear, the wallet develops a mind of its own. So consider this your fair warning: go in with a plan, because the Brisbane 4X4 show has a funny way of turning a casual browse into a very exciting invoice.

The Outback Stage: Legends, yarns, and never-before-seen footage

Now, if you’ve been to one of these shows before, you’ll know the Outback Stage is where half your day disappears before you even realise it. This year it’s back as the heartbeat of the whole event, hosted by Ricko from Australia ReDiscovered — and the lineup of guests he’s got coming through is genuinely hard to argue with. These aren’t blokes just reading spec sheets; they’re out there doing the trips and bringing back the stories that might just save you out there in the bush.

  • Shaun and Graham (4WD 24/7)
  • Jase and Simon (All 4 Adventure)
  • Cassie (Girls Day Out 4WD Edition)
  • Bridget Crosato (Red Dirt Diary)

Block out a chunk of time for the stage before you start wandering the floor, you’ll thank yourself later. (And yes, I say this as someone who has learned the hard way by trying to do both at once and missing half of each.)

New at the Brisbane 4X4 Show in 2026: Live builds and budget skills

Here’s the thing – if there’s one new addition to this year’s show that has me genuinely excited, it’s the “Live Build with Bri.” Across all three days, Bri from Driven Garage will be transforming a rough 80 Series LandCruiser into a show-stopper right there on the floor. We’re talking bar work, engine performance upgrades, the full teardown and rebuild in real-time. If you’ve got a project rig sitting in the shed (or, like me, a wish list that’s getting embarrassingly long), watching this is about as practical as entertainment gets.

For those who want to sharpen their skills without blowing the budget, and let’s be honest, that’s most of us – the new MadMates Workshops are a cracking addition. MadMatt and Lucas Bree will be running dedicated sessions on budget-friendly builds and recovery techniques, including safe rollover recovery demos. The recovery stuff alone is worth the ticket price for anyone who’s heading bush this year. (I’d argue it’s worth the ticket price for anyone who’s ever been stuck and had to call for help. Not that I’d know anything about that.)

Hundreds of brands and exclusive show deals at the Brisbane 4X4 Show

Brisbane Showgrounds will be packed to the rafters with Queensland’s biggest collection of off-road campers, caravans, and 4WD accessories – all in the one spot. If you’ve been umming and ahhing over a canopy, suspension setup, or fridge, this is genuinely the best place to compare gear side-by-side and talk to people who’ve actually used it. Most major brands save their best pricing for the show floor, so if you’ve had something on the wish list for a while, this is usually the cheapest weekend of the year to pull the trigger on it.

The $11K Adventure Upgrade: How to win your dream rig setup

Now, this year’s major giveaway is a beauty – the “Adventure Upgrade” prize pack worth over $11,000. We’re talking Goodyear tyres, a Kayo ute tub canopy, a 12 Volt Direct lithium setup, a myCoolman fridge, and a Carbon Offroad recovery pack. That is, frankly, a solid chunk of a touring build handed to someone for free. (I’m already jealous of whoever wins it.)

Entering is dead simple: head to the show, visit the five participating stands, and scan the QR codes. If you’re already doing the lap of the showgrounds (and you will be), it’s a no-brainer to get your name in the hat while you’re at it.

Family-friendly 4WDing: Wildlife, camp ovens, and free kids’ entry

The show isn’t just for the gear-heads either – and I mean that. There’s genuinely enough going on to keep the whole family busy while you do your rounds. Kids under 16 get in free with a registered ticket, and there’s a dedicated Kids Zone with giant races and juggling to keep the little ones entertained (and off your back while you’re trying to spec up a suspension lift).

You can also catch Black Snake Productions’ Wildlife Shows for some reptile education – always a winner with the young fellas – or duck over to watch Mick “The Camp Oven Cook” Viller showing you how to nail the perfect damper over the coals. That last one, I’d argue, is educational for the adults too.

That’s a wrap: Get your Brisbane 4×4 Show tickets

Don’t wait until the gates open to sort your entry. Tickets are limited and only available via the online ticket portal here. By booking through Humanitix, you’re also doing a bit of good in the process — 100% of booking-fee profits go to charity. Cheap bit of insurance for your weekend plans, and a decent thing to do while you’re at it.

And if you can’t make Brisbane work, keep an eye out — the Sydney Show runs 12–14 June, and Melbourne follows on 21–23 August later this year.
