It’s common knowledge that the Toyota LandCruiser 70 Series is one of the most iconic 4X4s in Australia. It’s a vehicle loved by Aussie 4×4 enthusiasts of all ages. As well as with farmers and those working in challenging mining applications. It’s a 4×4 that is capable, whilst remaining a heavy-duty workhorse that we dare say will become a highly sought-after classic in the years to come.

Sure, the 70 Series is a heavy-duty vehicle, but you can’t call them fancy. Take one look at the interior, shows just how simple these machines are. It’s best described as uncomplicated, which flows to the LC70’s standard side mirrors that are also… um, humble.

Thankfully there are loads of upgrades you can do to make them more modern and comfortable. Clearview Accessories for example offers an extensive range of options to personalise and upgrade the LandCruiser 70 Series mirrors.

What’s the story?

One of Clearview’s best-selling mirrors, in fact, is the “manual, black” Original Towing Mirror. They cost just $785, so it’s an easily justified upgrade on the rather basic metal frame mirrors that come stock on the 70 Series. The manual adjustment, black mirrors are also available in Clearview’s new Next Gen and Compact Towing Mirror designs, with pricing remaining at $785 for the Compact and $835 for the Next Gen.

This option “mirrors” the existing functionality in the vehicle, in a better-looking, more stable, and robust mirror design which offers the additional advantage of the extra visibility that Clearview’s towing mirror extension provides.

For those wanting additional features in their towing mirrors, Clearview offers a range of upgrades from adding electric mirror adjustment (+ $150), to adding indicators (+$100) to the mirrors, right through to adding Power Fold (+$670) functionality! These additions obviously add more cost to the mirrors’ initial purchase price, but they also add additional costs around hard wiring the functionality into the vehicle. Clearview does provide the wiring harnesses and switches with their mirrors to help reduce installation time.

What about GVM Upgrade approved options?

GVM upgrades are hugely popular with the LandCruiser 70 Series. Clearview also offers a CAT 6 LED Indicator option in the Next Gen and Compact Towing Mirrors. These indicators comply with ADR 6/00 Category 6, a requirement for some GVM upgrade vehicles. All relevant Clearview Next Gen and Compact Towing Mirrors are available to order with a CAT6 indicator if required, at an additional cost of $95 per set.

Clearview products can be purchased and installed through our dealer network, Australia-wide. Visit www.clearviewaccessories.com.au for more information.
