What’s the story?

The Sydney 4WD and Adventure Show is the major 4WDing event for NSW. It is part of a national group that covers similar events in Perth and Adelaide. Show Director Peter Woods said the Sydney 4WD and Adventure Show is the one-stop place for visitors to see and purchase a variety of products and services relating to the outdoor leisure industry.

He said the show featured all the big brands. In caravans, camper trailers and motorhomes. New 4WDs and SUVs, and camping accessories. The event is an also interactive experience that equips visitors with the gear, the advice, and the inspiration to get out there and explore.

“This is the big outdoor show for NSW and is held at the awesome Sydney Dragway in Eastern Creek. The venue is perfect for a Show like this. We can offer free parking and plenty of room for displays and attractions,” Peter said.

“The 4WD and Adventure Show is designed to be interactive and informative. With plenty of activations to watch or get involved in.”

“We know that everyone is looking for knowledge, tips, and info. That helps them on their adventures, and we have plenty of experts at the Show ready to pass on their knowledge.”

“We also like to give a try-before-you-buy type experience where we can. See this event as an ideal place to get up close and personal with the products they are looking at buying, and giving them a real experience to help in decision making”.

What’s on this year

“This year we are excited to be bringing back the Isuzu Iron Summit. Which is an activation that gives visitors an extreme 4WD experience, as well as demonstrating the capabilities of Isuzu vehicles.”

“We are also introducing a new 4WD Test Track. That features different sections designed to simulate real-life situations and is designed to demonstrate the vehicles’ ability in off-road situations. Visitors can get in and have a ride in their favourite vehicle on the test track.”

“For those who enjoy an adventure on two wheels, we also have a motorcycle track set up for test rides. This also includes tests and demos of side-by-side and quad bikes,” Peter said.

Another major attraction of the Sydney 4WD and Adventure Show is the Club 4X4 Adventure Hub, which offers technical and practical information on 4WDriving to equip visitors for exploring our country.  The Club 4X4 Adventure Hub includes the Recovery Demo area with demonstrations on 4WD recoveries, towing, reversing, and other tech tips thanks to Getabout Training and Tow-Ed.

The Club 4X4 Adventure Hub will also include the new Tough Dog Traction Track. The Tough Dog Traction Track is set up with specially designed ramps. They are used to demonstrate the capabilities of a vehicle and give audiences an up-close look at exactly how the vehicle works. Driving the vehicle over the ramps allows audiences to see the suspension flexing, to demonstrate when traction is lost, and provide tips on how to overcome these issues.

New this year is the Madventure Overland Stage, an interactive stage area with expert presentations on a range of topics all weekend long. This stage will give you the know-how and technical info on what gear you need and how to use it properly.

It doesn’t end there

The Show also features camp cooking demos, fishing demos and special guests.

In 2023, Graham, Shaun and Jock from 4WD 247 will be special guests at this year’s Sydney 4WD and Adventure Show! This is the only event in Australia where you’ll be able to catch all three boys together on stage. Come and say g’day, hear what they’ve been up to, and grab a photo with the boys. We are also thrilled to invite back Jase Andrews from All 4 Adventure, fresh from his epic adventures in the north of Australia. Catch all the Show’s special guests on the Engel Bush Camp Stage.

Content creator area

The 4WD and Adventure Shows launched their infamous Content Creator’s Area four years ago. And this has grown into a major attraction. We invite well-known content creators from Instagram and youtube to attend the Show. They speak to audiences about their adventures and meet and greet with their followers. Don’t miss the Dometic Outdoor Content Creator Area and catch up with your favourites

And one of the biggest Show attractions that can only be seen at the 4WD Show in Eastern Creek is the rock crawling championships on Tough Dog Mountain. Visitors can see all the action of these crazy buggies. And even crazier drivers. They’ll test their driving skills and their vehicles’ capabilities going up the purpose-built rock wall. The legendary Tough Dog Mountain has been built with obstacles that only the best drivers can successfully get through and is only at the Sydney 4WD and Adventure Show in Eastern Creek.

The Sydney 4WD and Adventure Show is also the place to see the release of the new Jayco offroad camper trailer – and be in the draw to win one! Make sure you check out the signs around the Show and scan the code to be in the draw.
