The Illawarra Caravan Camping Lifestyle Expo is back on the 7th-9th of July 2023

The Illawarra Caravan Camping Lifestyle Expo is back on at Kembla Grange Racecourse in Wollongong. After a three-year break, the show will be running from the 7th till the 9th of July 2023.

Back for the first time in three years, the Illawarra Caravan Camping Lifestyle Expo is on. It will bring over 100 exhibitors together for the biggest expo of its kind in the region, showcasing so much of what the industry has to offer.

What the story?

Running from Friday the 7^th to Sunday the 9^th of July at the Kembla Grange Racecourse. The Illawarra’s most popular caravan and camping Expo is back. You can expect with a wide array of the latest caravans, motorhomes, camper trailers and accessories along with tips and tricks for inspiration for your next adventure.

“The popularity of caravan and camping holidays is at an all-time high as they offer people an opportunity to get away, and reconnect with nature, and loved ones,” Caravan & Camping Industry Association (CCIA) NSW CEO Lyndel Gray said.

“Caravan and camping is the holiday of choice for so many people because it offers something for everyone and every budget. It’s the perfect way to explore our beautiful country.” 

“The wonderful thing about the Expo is it offers people from across the Illawarra, South Coast and Southern Highlands the perfect place to see a huge range of the latest products in one easily accessible, convenient location.”

Fun for the school holidays

This year the event is being held over the second weekend of the NSW school holidays. As such, the Expo has free entertainment for the kids including a reptile show, face painting and a toddler zone. 

Last year saw the popularity of caravan and camping in NSW soar. With 17.3 million visitor nights spent in caravan and camping accommodation. The NSW North and South coast were the two most popular destinations for caravan and camping trips in Australia.

It was also a bumper year for the trade with a record 48,500 new RV registrations across Australia. This demonstrates the strong ongoing demand for recreational vehicles.

The Illawarra Caravan Camping Lifestyle Expo takes place from Friday the 7^th to Sunday the 9^th July 2023. It’s on at the Kembla Grange Racecourse between 9:30am and 4:00pm daily with free parking. Tickets are available online; $16 for adults, $12 for concession, kids 16 and under are free.
