Batteries aren’t batteries these days, so the idea of running just a simple isolator or switch to charge your battery system seems almost archaic. The LFP 1240 from Redarc has been designed specifically for use with Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO) batteries in mind, that have become so popular thanks to their performance in relation to their size and weight. But they do require specific charging conditions to perform to their best ability. The LFP 1240 is available in either a 25 or 40 amp configuration, and low voltage models are also available to suit vehicles fitted with variable voltage alternators. A built in solar regulator allows the direct use of solar panels to boost charging ability too, saving you from having to buy other components to run your panels.
