Aftermarket suspension is something you will appreciate every time you sit in your 4X4. From urban commutes, to fast dirt road driving, and every terrain in between. The beauty of suspension upgrades is they aren’t terribly difficult to install at home yourself – if you have basic hand tools. In the past, a giant and dangerous coil compressor would be required to fasten the coil spring over a strut used in the front end of nearly every 4X4 on the market. When Ben from Drivetech 4×4 told me he had just worked out a method of upgrading suspension without using a coil compressor, that would take just over an hour to do per side… well I was curious.
