We’re recent converts to fire pits, in a big way. They use less wood than a hole-in-the-ground fire, and they put out more heat thanks to additional air flow. They are kinder on the environment too, and can be used anywhere you are allowed to have a fire but can’t damage the ground – such as National Parks or even caravan parks. The Quokka Foldable Fire Pit caught our eye, as it is available in three different sizes and looks incredibly well made. The Quokka is supplied as a complete kit too, including a stainless steel grill cradle and grill. A steel fire grid is included, as well as a steel base plate to prevent stray embers causing damage to your deck… not that we’d know about that, cough cough.
