One such example is Joachim Leitgeb, CEO and Product Developer for European-based company Seven Seconds To The Stars, who has invented one heck of a camping product with the Flying Tent. It looks like a hammock, which is kind of interesting, but that is not where the Flying Tent stops impressing. It can also be enclosed with a mosquito net or weather-resistant fly to keep you safe and dry while camping. The Flying Tent can also be used as a regular swag (or bivy) on the ground if the idea of swinging between two trees doesn’t float your boat. The whole package folds up neatly into a backpack-sized carry bag, and weighs just 1.2kg – making it perfect for hiking or trips where space is at a premium. What really impresses though, is the fact the Flying Tent can also be used as a rain poncho. Clever stuff indeed!
