BlackWolf Turbo Air Tent

Black Wolf claim that the ‘air pole’ technology of their new range of tents saves on weight, time and sanity when it comes to setting up and packing up a decent sized tent. Setup is done by using an air pump to force air  into the poles, which in turn gives the tent its structure (in lieu of traditional bendy poles).

The BlackWolf Turbo Air Tent costs $999.

Coopers 2014 Vintage Ale

If you really care about beer, then you will care about this news: Coopers have released their 2014 vintage ale. As much as you would like to go straight home and crack the top off one, the more discerning amongst us will leave it in a cool, dry place for a long period of time. Yep, this beer gets better with age. Buy yourself a carton, and call it an investment in the future.

Expect to pay around $80 per carton, or $25 per six pack.

Nikon D810

The newest kid on the Nikon block, the D810 DSLR can spit out 36.3 megapixels of detailed glory, with ISO ranging from 64 to 12,800. It’s 1080/60p video capable, and the lack of an Optical Low Pass Filter (OLPF) means extra details and tonality reach the sensor (and therefore, image). The Exspeed 4 CPU is apparently 30% faster than its predecessor, allowing continuous 5 fps shooting in the largest image format.

Expect to pay around $3300 for the body only.

ECB Arc Winch Bar for Isuzu MU-X

East Coast Bullbars have added Isuzu’s MU-X to its Arc Bar repertoire (try saying that quickly). It will house up to 9500 pounds worth of winch, and has a 76mm x 4.75mm centre tube and fully gusseted 63mm x 4.2mm shoulder pipes. It’s made from hi-tensile, structural grade alloys.

Expect to pay around
$2480, depending on
your choice of finishes.

Sony Xperia Z2

Sony’s new offering weighs just 163 grams and boasts a 20.7 megapixel camera, full HD 1920×1080 5.2in display, 2.3 GHz quad-core processor, 3200 mAh battery, up to 740 hours standby time, and IP55 and IP58 rating against dust and water. Awesome.

There are plenty of plans available to suit the Xperia Z2, with varying costs.

ATX Teflon Wheels

Frypans aren’t having all of the fun these days; now you can get Teflon-coated wheels on your 4X4 from ATX. Black wheels are all the rage these days, and these certainly look the part. Teflon is one of the slipperiest materials getting around, and is also extremely tough and hydrophobic; which makes perfect sense for coating a 4X4’s wheels.

Prices vary according
to style and size.

Ironman 65 Litre Fridge

The convenience of a dual compartment fridge doesn’t need explaining. If you are looking to upgrade to a dual zone unit, but don’t want to break the bank, have a look at Ironman’s new additions to the Ice Cube range. They run a Danfoss BD-50 compressor, can run down to -18˚C, and come with a three year warranty, plus an additional two years for the compressor.

Cost is $990.

Taipan XP intercoolers

Taipan have damned fine reputation off the back of their exhaust systems. It’s well deserved, their systems are top-notch. They are now stretching out into the aftermarket intercooler scene, and the products look every bit as good as the exhausts. The cores are hi-flow, TIG welded jobs that are manufactured in Australia, and come with a thermo fan. They currently make models to suit ZD30 Patrols and 1VD, 70 Series LandCruisers, but expect that list to grow exponentially in the future.

Prices are dependant on model, one to suit a ZD30 Patrol costs $1,590.
