Mitsubishi’s Triton-based Pajero Sport and preceding Challenger wagons have been recalled, due to a potential rust issue popping up on tailgates. “Insufficient anti-corrosion coating was applied to the end cap on the outer tube of the tailgate gas springs…” which could result in the tailgate trying to emulate a guillotine. The tailgate isn’t rusting away (at least), but this is pretty dangerous.
