More than 6000 Mitsubishi Pajeros (2017-2018 model-year) are being recalled because of “inadequate welding strength” on the front, right-side suspension lower control arm which could “fail at one of the weld joints”.
In a recall statement Mitsubishi said, “If one of the lower control arm weld joints fails, the vehicle’s steering and stability may not operate properly, increasing the risk of an accident or injury to all road users”. The Japanese car maker is recalling 6384 affected vehicles and has said it will contact owners via mail and advise them to take their vehicle directly to a Mitsubishi dealer to have the recall work carried out, free of charge.
